The investment vehicle Cofra from the C&A family Brenninkmeijer has acquired the Dutch solar company Sunrock. Both parties have announced this. An acquisition amount has not been disclosed.
The eight-year-old Sunrock develops and manages solar energy projects in the Netherlands and is the market leader in the segment for "large-scale roof-based solar energy." Customers include operators of commercial real estate and logistics companies with solar parks.
Sunrock and Cofra expect the demand for solar energy generation on buildings and roofs to increase in the coming years. Cofra calls the acquisition a “strategic investment for the long term” that fits well with its own ambitions for the transition to green energy and the reduction of the CO2 content of the investment portfolio.
