Global sales of solar panels will grow to a new record in 2021

Corona crisis or not, global sales of solar panels will grow to a new record high of 143.7 gigawatts in 2021. The growth of the solar energy market is 15 percent according to PV InfoLink. The Chinese market research firm finds that previous measures by governments to combat the coronavirus at the beginning of the calendar year have led to delays in the PV market.

However, the influence of the lockdowns is now diminishing. And according to the researchers at PV InfoLink, that is a boost, because the peak season for the PV market falls in the second half. In 2020, global solar panel sales will reach 126.2 gigawatts peak.
