RVO is making 5 billion Euro available for the Sustainable Energy Transition Incentive Scheme and will open from September 29 to October 22, 2020.
The SDE+ has proven itself in recent years as a robust and
effective scheme to stimulate the production of renewable energy in the Netherlands. The SDE++ scheme maintains a number of elements of the SDE+ scheme, such as subsidizing the unprofitable top, aphased opening and competition between the various technologies.
An important new starting point in the SDE++ is the ranking based on expected subsidy per avoided ton of CO₂ emissions.
The design of the SDE++ categories in 2020 is largely based on the advice of the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency
(PBL). As in the past, the PBL held a market consultation for the SDE+.
